Dineen devastates
Mudslingers Scrambles

Dineen dominated the competition in the
125cc class of the rough scrambles held at the
Mudslingers Race Track. The year 's first snow
was on the ground and early in the mo rning
it started to rain, maki ng th e track q ui te
muddy the rest of the day .
In mota one Kawasaki-mounted Dineen go t
th e holeshot ahead of Tom Crews. Elec tro

. Blendzall -backed Rya n Anderson, then Marsha ll Favre. Sha ne Barton and the o thers.
Dineen shot o ut to a 30-yard lead .and was
mak in g no m istakes on the slippery course.
Favre moved by Anderson on la p one a nd went
gunning for th e leaders. By lap four Favre
was in second but Dineen wasn' t to be seen .
Al the chec kered nag it was Dineen, Favre.
Crews, Dan Hansen, Barton and the rest o r
th e h uge l25cc cla ss.
Once again Dineen got th e scratch in moto
two followed by Favre , Crews, Barton, Hansen
a nd Anderson. Favre was all over Dineen for
two laps but then he lost it a nd Crews and
Hansen were abl e to gel by before he got
restarted. Dineen had a 6O
-yard lead by now
and was demonstrating som e big air off the
north jump. Hansen passed Barton while
Favre played catch-up and by lap five Favre
was up 10 lh ird. Dineen was long gone on
th e huge co urse and starling 10 lap backmarkers when he spun o ut. Wilh Crews jusl
read y 10 inheril the lead , Dineen started back
up in lh e ni ck of lime. Al the finish il was
Dineen. Crew s, Favr e, Hansen and the others.
In the Four-Stroke clas s j ohn Moody gOI
lh e lead foll owed by Ch uck Ackley, Gary
Meese. Keilh Everson a nd Darin Huseby. Lap
after lap Ackl ey pres sured Moody, and their
duel took th em oul to a 6O-yard advantage.
Huseby moved up a nOlch and lhe order stayed
the same until lh e lasl lap when Ackley look
advantage of a Moody bobble. At the finish
it was Ackley, Moody, Meese and the olhers.
The final moto was a copy of the firsl with
Ackl ey right on Moody and side-by-side at
limes. Once aga in Ack ley got by with a lap
and a ha lf to go . The finish went Ackley ,
Moody, Meese. H useby and Everson.
