the 100 Kilometer Solo End urance Race victory at Firebird Raceway.
Davis had a comfortable distance on
fourt h-pl ace Ulf Johansson, while
Posca rounded out th e top fiv e
posi tions.
In moto two Stanton rocketed off
the line to stea l th e hol eshot from
Dymond with Davis a nd th e pack
tra iling. The two factory Yam aha
riders pi cked up th e pa ce to a point
wh ere even Davi s co uld n' t keep them
within striki ng ra nge. Stanton led
Dymond for three laps with Dym ond
coming past first o n lap four. For
th e next three laps Dymond too k
co mma nd with Stanton app lying the
pressure. Then o n la p seven Stanton
rega ined the lead and held on for th e
next five la ps. Dymon d followed,
keep ing th e pressure on, bu t his
teammat e held stro ng and took th e
win, along with th e overall. Davis
foll owed Dym ond with a pair of
thirds fo r third overa ll , whil e
Johansson and Posca ro unded out
th e top five overall positions.
