MAY 14 On its third race of its initial season, Linda's Speedway finally got some cooperation from the weather as over 80 motorcycles signed in to do battle on th e lightening quick oval. After each class ran its 15 lap, final , the big winner was Tom Cerciello who battled Tom Maj eski the entire 15 laps for the 600cc Expert win, and played with th e 750 field for ano ther easy win on his Sponsored By Pop machines. H e also pi cked up a very close second in the 250cc Experts, getting edged by Mike Varnes bya length. . . After four heats pared the 24' rider clas s down to 16 for th e 600cc Expert final, Cerciello took the lead from Tom Maje ski, Georgie Price, Scottie Mohan and Rob Majeski. While the pair of Toms pulled a little distance on ' the others, Rob Majeski moved into fourth 'and pressured Price for third, until his Harley stri p ped a belt. While Tom Majeski kept no more than a length back, he couldn't find the hole he needed to take th e lead. The experi ment with 15 lap finals ' ma y be reduced a little for th e two strokes by th e next ra ce on June 18. This was very apparent in th e 250cc 3
