Kye Gunn rode his Suzuki to a win in the Formula One class and a second
.place finish in Superbike A at the Firebird Road Race in Arizona.

The 250cc C class was a showcase
for Lexington's Gene Hooge. The
Suzuki-mounted winner had started
out in the number three spot, behind
Shane'Nalley and Craig Frist. By lap
foUr Hodge had the lead while Glen
Fisher, who had been glued to Hodge's
rear wheel through the first few laps
of traffic, kept up the pace for second
with Nalley third.
The bighl'y competitive 125cc C
class saw national number II Bryan
Jones grab the holeshot and never
look back. He beat Roger Molnar and
Rick Stephens to the finish line.
