Butler captured the Pro and 125cc Expert wins, while Snider sLOrmed to the 125 and 250cc Intermediate vicLOries. In the first Pro moLO, Butler blasted into the lead ahead of Kevin Schaub and Ralph Blanchard. The three riders quickly pulled away from the rest of the pack, and there was no catching Butler. The Yamaha rider smoked everyone to the checkered flag ahead of Schaub and Blanchard. Butler had no problems handling the second moLO LO wrap up the overall. Schaub finished second overall, while Blanchard LOok third. Butler spent the entire first 125cc Expert moto dicing with Bruce Williams after nailing his third holeshot in a row. The two riders ballled intensely every lap, but Butler stayed cool and held on for the win. Lance Lenave ended Butler's holeshot streak in moLO two, while Butler took a midpack start. joe Good eventually found himself in the lead, while Butler worked his way into second after passing Williams, who had picked off Lenave. By the time Butler passed Williams, Good was already long gone. However, Butler's second-place finish was enough for the overall. Snider was the rider to beat in both the 125 and 250cc Intermediate classes, but no one could. The Yamaha rider won every moLO, despite some heavy challenges by Edwin Sims and his KTM in the 250s. Sims finished second. Even a couple of crashes didn't harm nider in any way in the l25cc Intermediate class. He easily captured both moLOS and walked home with his second overall victory.
