Sunday's finals were dominated by Bart Peterson with an impressive display of controlled, aggressive riding. Peterson's first victory of the day came in a hard fought C Production dice with Greg Tysor. Peterson was riding his faithful Action Yamaha FJ600 and Tysor was aboard his FZ600. The pair led the pack into the tight turn one and exchanged the lead over the next five laps. Peterson later claimed that he was feeling Tysor out and looking for his weak points. Two laps from the end, Peterson outbraked Tysor going into turn one, turned up the wick and dropped two seconds off his lap times. Tysor managed to stay with him, but Peterson was the winner by four bikelengths.
