Crawford gated cleanly and quickly pulled a three-second advantage over Floyd Vaughn. Crawford continued to pull away while Bob Blose and Tim Pettit challenged Vaughn for second. Blose powered past a fading Vaughn on lap four and took second at the checkered flag. Afcer a poor stan in moto one, Randy Shipley holeshot moto two ahead of J.D. Crawford and Deano Cowan. Shipley pulled ou t a comfortable lead and held it to take the win. Blose and Cowan moved past Crawford at the halfway point. Cowan edged Blose for second place but Blose's2-3 tally netted him the overall Wayne ahead in, the -~ series. Montemayor scorched his way around a blistering hot Texas World Speedway to claim three first place finishes in C Production, C Superbike and B Production today. The near 1000 temperature played havoc with riders, but provided good traction on the aging asphalt. Montemayor exhibited the Pro-class riding that has him leading the closely contested C Production and C Superbike Expert classes in this CRRC season.
