Jones was never seriously challenged as his lead grew each lap. The real race was between Harley·mounted Parker and Honda·mounted King. King's poor start gave Parker some breathing room but by the white flag, King had closed on Parker's rear wheel. King's challenge for second ended when he broke his machine while landing from the second jump. With King out, Rick Weir took third, Don Estep fourth, and Dave Hebb fifth. His effortless victori'es on his own KXs in the 125 and 250cc Pro classes, and his slight e[fort due to unfamiliarity with the borrowed bigbore CR Honda of Tim Boone's are all like poetry in motion. Places on the tough Baylands track that require others to brake and take with caution Ryan just explodes past. On this evening he was not even attempting to get good starts for he needed only to dial on the gas and begin picking the field off one at a time. Six motos in three dasses and six straight victories add up to quite an evening in any racers life. Ryan has accomplished this feat for weeks in a row. In other cl,a$5 action the final Beginner class .VlctOry of Ron Manseau was a highlight. The young Manseau piloted his CR. Honda to two moto victories and was. moved up to Junior by Referee Estes and Chief Oerk Looney. His domination of the class was beginning to appear like Ryan's domination of Ihe Pros. In his starts Manseau was pressured chiefly by Cliff Hunter and Todd Luksa. Manseau made the win look effortless when he negotiated the man-made jumps, pits, berms and sand washes of Baylands. Finishing a strong second overall but not coming close to catching Manseau was Luksa who had a 3-2 performance. Results PEE WEE: 1. Nick P _ 80 MINI BEG: 1. Tyron Forley (Suz); 2. Ken NoI.n (Suz); 3. Del Beck was second fastest on his Harley-Davidson, Ronnie Jones third on his Honda, Roger Thompson fourth fastest on his Harley. Ricky Resweber and Rich Butler continued their heat race battle as they contested each other's skill on the TT course. Butler was unable to maintain the pace Resweber set from early in the race as Butler dropped off the pace. Butler's late race charge ended up a half-bike length short as Resweber took home his second Pro TT win of the season. Rick Gruber, Bob Ybema, and Frank Kaiser rounded out the top five.
