the Chaney's Auto Body/Adams/ Kinish Yamaha 500 but Jack "Bugsy" Booth was right there to snap it away just as quickly on the Booth Racing H-D, which set up a back-and-forth swap for the lead throughout the entire main. Washington riders Rick Albee (Yam) and Randy Roose (Hon) banged bars for the second spot while Booth settled the dispute for the win over Zirbel. AI bee got the nod for third to beat Roose and Clay Clark (Yam). Dan McDonnell, Ryan Fisher, Gary Trull and Brian McGonigal made up a four-way fight for the lead at the start of the 12-lap Junior main event. Fisher, on the Sip-N-Dippity/Simpson Wood-Rotax 560, settled into a lead all to himself after shaking o££ the advances of McGonigal, who displaced McDonnell for second at the mid-way point. Mike. Oglesbee (Hon) and Dan Brunner (Hon) took the battle for the fourth down to the last 15 feet with Oglesbee getting the handle for the spot and a bird's-eye view of Fisher taking the win over McGonigal. Ron Waters (Hon) and Frank Cranke (Hon) trailed Brunner. In the Expert main Barkman wasted very little time at all leading his II Expert comrades around the bluegrooved TT track on his Hi-Point/ Simpson/Silver Star Tavern/Longview Ice/Lillie KTM. Hurst has gotten miserable starts all season but he launched his 750 o££ the line into second ahead of John Wincewicz and Frank Word III, both on Triumphs. It was quite a sight to see when Hurst shook o££ Wincewicz to catch and carefully displace Barkman for the lead. Barkman got around Hurst several times before Hurst took the high line to blaze down the hill and swoop up Barkman across the line for the most exciting finish of the season at Sidewinders. Wincewicz grabbed third for good ahead of pesky Je££ Campbell (Lillie CoAl and Mike Sullivan (Tri). Results EX: 1. Brad Hurst (Tri); 2. Bratt Barkman (KTM); 3. John Wincewicz (Tr!); 4.
