Taking his share of success was Crossroads' Jim Sendel· bach who topped the 250cc Pro class. Kolbe/O'Neal Honda ace Robbie Healey took his Honda to ~he early lead in the first l25cc Pro moto. Hot in pursuit was Maki and Bobby Kline, who had "BK Matinee" on his pants. As the race neared the halfway point all three of those competitors were within two bikelengths of one another. Then the excitement started as Maki, in a burst of speed, flew past Healey on the jumps after the score tower. Maki became the new leader and separated himself from the pack. Everyones attention was turned towards Healey and Kline as they engaged in a bartle for second place. Kline got too radical and nearly lost it off one of the high flying jumps. On the next lap Kline, made another radical move but this time he succeeded. Healey came to· the corner after the finish stretch and was outmanuevered by Kline, who took the outside line for the second-place spot. By the time they reached the next hairpin turn, Healey took a different line but failed to regain second. It was Maki, Kline, Healey and Jack Greenberg for the moto. Maki took the holeshot in the final round and avoided the trouble of battling with Healey. In second was Healey who headed off Greenberg. Kline apparently had trouble at the start and was delayed. Maki while in the lead came to the corner past the fi nish stretch and his foot hit the ground and was kicked back awkwardly. StiU Maki held the lead. Healey maintained second place with Greenberg settling for second. Kline was too far behind and just decided to style off the jumps. Results PEE WEE: 1. Pablo Lar. (Yam): 2. Robby H.mmond (Y.m); 3.
