style. Mark Zeissler was second, and Mark Day was third. Impressive was the only word to describe Mike Solis in Divi ion Three. He was thewinner of the D-3 main at Auburn the night before, and wa headed for the win going into the final lap when he lost power. However, Solis has seen the end of Division Three. After his mechanical problems, Rich Simpson, also doing well in D-3, moved into the lead for the win over Bryan Henrikson and Tom Castagnola. On the Junior side of the program, Bobby Hedden really celebrated his birthday in a big way. He won his fir t heat race, took a bad spill into the fence in his second heat, and came back to win the spine-tingling Junior Main, his second in as many nights. Scott Brant was second, and Coors Wright was third. Results SCRATCH MAIN: 1. Duane Yarrow; 2. David Faria Jr.; 3. Bart Bast; 4. Paul Orlandi. HANDICAP MAIN: ,. John Volk; 2. Steve Martin; 3. Tom Ferris was third behind Orlandi by inches and Rocky Robinson was fourth. It was Linn's firstever Scratch main win. Division Two carried on the "firsts" tradition, as Derek Dorresteyn won his first D-2 main. Jeff Jones, up to the north from SoCaI was second, and Mark Zeissler was third. In Division Three, Mike Solis, looking like he did not belong there, won the D-3 main. Dave Coupe, also soon to move up to D-2, was second and Bryan Henrikson was third. Junior Bobby Hedden started off his birthday weekend in a big way, winning his first Auburn Junior main of the season. In one of the most thrilling events of the evening, Bobby held off Junior number one Scott Brant in a squeaker, hugging the pole as Brant chose the outside. Brant took second and Coors Wright was third. • I~CA-Dan Georgetown,CA -Kevin Hines wins National Enduro--4OOWR May 26, 1984 McMinnville:, OR -Kevin Hines wins 1st Overall and Open Class ISDE QU2l.i.fier-400WR. 1st 125-Mark Hyde-l25 WR. 1st Four Stroke-Larry Roeseler510TE June: 3, 1984 Bc:JIingbam,WAMike Melton wins ational Enduro -400WR June: 6-7, 1984 Barstow,CADan Smith and Dan Ashcr.m win May 20, 1984 Ashcraft wins National Hare Scrambles-500XC.
