by a large margin to beat White, Sun. Bozarth and Names. MaLO two had White get the jump and lead Keller, un and Names. White and Keller provided the closest racing of the entire day as the two duked it Out left and right. until Keller stalled. giving White some breathing room. Keller made a late charge, but his fine ride came LO a hault when he bailed off in the whoop. He remounted quickly enough LO hold off Sun and his uzuki for second, a good eighth-lap behind White, who went 2-1 for first. Keller' 1-2 wa good for second and Sun's 3-3 combination put him third. Bozarth led a large field of Open Pro contestants in the initial laps of the du ty, rough 30-minute malO. Grayson Hart (Han) ran close LO second LO Bozarth and the two pulled away from Honda rider Dave Cotter, Jay Bouffard (Han) and Rick Wylder (Kaw). Desert/MX specialist Bozarth did a fine job of holding off Hart. who dropped off the pace allowing Bozarth a lonely win. Hart, Cotter. Bouffard and Lyle Shopert made up the top finishes. Hart hauled into the lead at the drop of the gate in the second maLO and rode a fine race, with Bozarth having troubles getting around Cotter's Honda. Bozarth broke free of Cotter, but Hart had used the situation to hi advantage and fled from the trapped Bozarth, by far the fastest on the track at this point. Once Bozarth caught up to Hart, he found out that it wasn't easy LO pass, and Hart got a clo e maLO win for an overall (2-1) over Bozanh's 1-2 and Wylder's 5-3. Joe pangler ( uz) led the first two 125cc Pro moLOS, but his ride ended prematurely with a putter and put Jess Dirks (Han) into first over Gray· son Han (Kaw), Kevin Hoefenbredl (Suz) and Larry Hoefenbredl (Suz). Dirks fell victim to Larry Hoe£enbredl, who picked off brother Kevin and inherited the lead, sailing mer· rily on his way to the checkered flag LO win over Kevin, Dirks and Han. L. Hoefenbredlled the second maLO, but Spangler made a gutsy pass on the early leader to take over for his turn, which lasted six laps until crashing and handing Hoef~nbredl back the lead. Han made a late charge LO take the maLO win, but Larry Hoefenbredl took the overall with a 1-2. Hart's 4-1 was good for second and Kevin Hoefen bred I (2-3) was third overall.
