Loren Pochirowski captured the
~.50cc Junior division one vietorI'.
defeating the hot newcomer Marc
Peters. Last week Peters won the
250cc Novice class and decided it was
time for him to advance to the Juniors.
To give him an edge on the competition. Peters received some riding instruction from Warren Reid. Pelers
lead from the start of the first mota.
When hecame to the tight corner JUSt
pasl the sweeper. his Honda stalled.
Marc got underway without losing
his position although second place
Loren Pochirowski gained some yardage. Peters lead till the end over
Pochirowski. Duke Renni~. Kent
Hawksworth and Keith McMillen.
McMillen was racing a 125 last
year. but tonight he was mounted on
a 250, and leading the final malO.
Pochirowski was in second over
Hawksworth while Don Shaw was
holding back Marc Peters for fourth,
until Shaw developed several bike
problems. Pochirowski soon took over
the I~ad. witJ:.1 McMillen dropping
back to second ahead of HawkswOl"th
and Peters.
