Gatbera Nevada·Soatbera Call Honda rider Rick Nagle. Riding the wfieels off his YZ250 Witt moved up in 0 fourth, then third, all within one lap. I Already several seconds ahead and approaching leader Hayes, Nagle had bombed by Patterson and left him at th back of the pack. Coming around the tight turn after Insanity Ridge, Nagle had a slight edge and took advantage of it. "I knew I had to pass him, but I didn't mean to hit him," h - said afterwards. ((Nagle had the momentum and pa ed Hayes, the only Open bike rJ' .er, for the lead. Hayes wasn't s"fl'ocked or scared by the move, and sWck to Nagle's rear tire. They opened a lead on Will, who ran a comfortable third. Bruce Peters was just as solid in f rth. k'patterson closed in Glen Dawson ana made the pass for fifth with three laps LO go. The win belonged LO Nagle, followed by Hayes, Will and Peters. . •.Primed and psyched for the next Ihoto, Will made his getaway and had a two-second lead by the third lap. Nagle got within striking range, and a broken chain stopped any thought of trying for the win. Patterson kept up in second while Hayes and Peters dueled till the end. Peters took a DNF while Hayes took second o erall. The 125cc Amateurs had a big i'ffcentive to win the overall in the ~t,OCk class this weekend. There was a $100 "bounty" posted on Yamaha/ Fox Distributing rider Dennis Parker. In his first week back after knee surgery he looked unbeatable, winnmg three out of his four motos in the Stock and Modified classes. - The bounty was collected by Shawn Hilton. The Blenzoil/Bell Road Kawasaki rider scored a 2-1 finish in the Stock class. ~oln the first moto it was a see-saw battle between Paker and Hilton. "Dangerous Dennis" regained the lead before the finish after "Mr. Glean" took the lead on the whitertag lap. Hilton had the lead from start LO finish in the next moLO with Bryan Bruner, making his debut on a 125cc, a close second. Parker ate it on the second turn but moved up to fifth by the end.
