Honda rider Rick Nagle. Riding the
wfieels off his YZ250 Witt moved up
in 0 fourth, then third, all within one
lap.
I Already several seconds ahead and
approaching leader Hayes, Nagle had
bombed by Patterson and left him at
th back of the pack. Coming around
the tight turn after Insanity Ridge,
Nagle had a slight edge and took
advantage of it. "I knew I had to pass
him, but I didn't mean to hit him,"
h - said afterwards.
((Nagle had the momentum and
pa ed Hayes, the only Open bike
rJ' .er, for the lead. Hayes wasn't
s"fl'ocked or scared by the move, and
sWck to Nagle's rear tire. They opened
a lead on Will, who ran a comfortable
third. Bruce Peters was just as solid in
f rth.
k'patterson closed in Glen Dawson
ana made the pass for fifth with three
laps LO go. The win belonged LO
Nagle, followed by Hayes, Will and
Peters.
.
•.Primed and psyched for the next
Ihoto, Will made his getaway and
had a two-second lead by the third
lap. Nagle got within striking range,
and a broken chain stopped any
thought of trying for the win. Patterson kept up in second while Hayes
and Peters dueled till the end. Peters
took a DNF while Hayes took second
o erall.
The 125cc Amateurs had a big

- The bounty was collected by Shawn
Hilton. The Blenzoil/Bell Road
Kawasaki rider scored a 2-1 finish in
the Stock class.
~oln the first moto it was a see-saw
battle between Paker and Hilton.
"Dangerous Dennis" regained the
lead before the finish after "Mr.
Glean" took the lead on the whitertag lap.
Hilton had the lead from start LO
finish in the next moLO with Bryan
