He made mincemeat of the Open Pros, winning big in both motos with Eric Mashbir taking the double second places this week over Daniel Baker. Mike Holmes returned to the fray this week and split the 250cc Pro moto wins with a rejuvenated Rich Mythen. The two put on quite a show for the' assembled, especially over the double jumps. Holmes and his South Bay Suzuki aced off the line and won the second round with a wide lead. Mike Scott brought the Bosch KTM to a third with a 3-4 count. In the highly competitive 125cc Pro class it was a three-way battle with NorCal number one Mike Whalen taking the decision on his Walnut Creek Honda with a 1-2 tally. He diced throughout with Tony Flores and Craig Christian in great action for both motos. Christian made the best moves in the second round for the moto win and second with Flores, the hot new kid on the block, third. Rich Lokke was the usual OT Expert winner with ease. while Frank Nye and Mark Means exchanged Vet Expert spots throughout the motos. Nye took the win on the Yamaha County YZ over East Bay Yamaha's Means.
