In the 250cc class the top four remained virtually the same during both rnotos. Buffaloe's sweep was good for the win, SCOll Tyler (Maico West /Answer) borrowed a friend's new Maico Alpha for an impressive second overall scoring 3-2, Eaton's 2-3 wa s third and Rob Burkhart finished with consecutive fourths fo r fourth overall. Eaton's sweep of Open was much the same as Buffaloe's, with Buffaloe, Steve Smith (Mike 's Suzuki/Mike Perry Racing) and Bruce Irwin finishing second, third and fourth during both rnotos behind th e Mai co of Eaton. The first 125cc mot o found jim Anderson (Ya m Supporr/M oro-X Fox / A.T.K.!Kal·Gard/Dallas Baker ), T im Michlitsch (T eam Green /D.G .! Bel-Ray/Eastside Kaw ), Rowdy Blasdell (G resha m Suzuki) a nd McGill taking the top four spot s. During the second moto Michlitsch led the wa y until problems forced him to retire.
