The plonker crowd went 1-2 in the 250cc Noviceclass, with currem .250cc sensation Mi ke Metzger winning both rnotos for the overall , and Garv Lum enduro-ing his IT I 75 to a tie-brea ker seco nd over Jason Lee. Mike and Gary ar e regular observed tri als competitors and h ave been on a two month tear since they burst o n to th e TT and MX scen e. The crash-action picked up in the Open Support. Carl Dees won the first rnoto on his H o nda thumper, but then managed a dull slide-out to blow th e second moto. Honda teammate Stev e Mitchell juiced up the crash by mowing Carl down from behind 10 th e oooh s of the crowd. Vance Fung, usuall y a member of th e notorious Husk y gang that pillages the Open Support class, tried a Maico an d took the second moto win , good for th e overall combined with hi s first rnoio second place finish .
