By Clay Light KENT, WA , MAY 21 Cory Klaudt (Sea tt le Han ) snagged himself some pretty big loot tonight at Seattle International Raceway's AMA-sanctioned motocross and did it with a clean I-I sweep of the 125cc Pro class to take th e top money as did DG Honda rider Jeff Moore in 250cc Pro and Tom Moen (Seattle Yam) in Open Pro. Two hundred plus riders were in attendance, making for some fine racing. In I25cc Pro act io n , Klaudt ledoff th e field into turn one over Kenny Almquist (Suz) , Moore (Suz), Lance Richotte (Suz) and Chad Paine (Suz) , Klaudt had very little trouble with th is pack, excep t for being hounded by Almquist briefly throughout th e rnoto, Richotte co u ldn ' t ge t aro u nd Almquist who took seco nd . Moto two was again a red blur into turn one while Ri ch otte bettered hi s first moto sta rt in second, a nd Moore trailed in third . L eav e it up to . Klaudt and Ri chotte to put o n a sho w for th e cro wd (that sleep ily watched Klaudt clobber the p ack in m ota on e): The moto was more of a battlefield in this ra ce; Klaudt would shut the door over the third pl ace spot which Moore took in th e latter part of th e race . Lead er Klaudt took th e moto win with Richotte seco nd . In 250cc ' Pro ac tio n , Moore was back again on his Moore Racing/DG Honda and took holeshot honors ov er Tom Moen (Seattle Yam ), Tim Olsen (Kaw) a nd Chad Torbergson (Su z). Moore romped th e pack to tak e th e first moto win o ver Moen and Olsen . Second moto was an exac t co py of the first. Moore and Moen battled it out for the lead with Moore ge tt ing th e lu ck of th e draw a n d the win /money co m bina tion th at go es with it. Moen 's 2-2 tally was good for runner-up hon or s. The Open Pro a nd th e Open A clas ses were co m bi ne d due to th e small numbers in the Pro class. Moen took th e lead in th e cl ass, a nd th at's a ll th ere wa s to th e race whi le T ed DeVol (DeVo l Eng. KTM ) gav e chase both times but co u ld o n ly muster a 2-2 ta lly. • • Ii.nl Hr.e IIIC.".,.'.d 1764 Rohemown Rd. Lannsler, PA17&01 USA THE - ---- -.................. 11-.... .
