Reisinger takes two In a row at Canal Fulton By Robert Lisey CANAL FULTON, OH,JAN. 24 Mike Reisinger pulled the trigger on his borrowed 250R Honda as the flag dropped , and from the first corner on only lapped riders ever saw Reisinger's front number plate at Grand Prix Raceway. Reisinger was a pictu re of perfection as he led from flag to flag . The only bets being taken were those as to the number of riders Mike would lap. "The Honda is fast , but next ra ce I will have my 400cc Maico back. Then I'm going for three-straight overalls in a row, Reisinger explained after the trophy presentation. Fred Andrews, on his Rick Case 175cc Yamaha, retained his series lead after four races by taking the gold in his class again today. Although outpowered on the long straights by the big-bore Hondas, Andrews used riding skills and finesse to put together a third for the day . The 140-mile trip from Tiffin, OH didn't phase Gene Robinson as he drove his 250 Honda to the top of the hotly contested 250cc class. Second place fell to Rick Schrader's Honda as he ran just scant seconds behind Robin son. Robinson took home the bronze with Dan Potter, on a Honda, finishingfourth. Rod Leggett bested 10 other contestants to win the largest class , the Modified Division, of the day . Leggett's 250 Honda was the only real competition Re isinger faced all day as Leggett took second overall. Park Honda Service Manager Dave Fischer rode another strong race to take th e silver behind Leggett. The SO-minute Odyssey race featured Tom Romey fen ding off continued and determined charges by Mark Moore and Bob Miller to squeeze out the win . Casey "Crazy" Dutter provided a real show for spectators as he bounced off the scoring barrels twice, blew a rear tire : and finished the ra ce on three wheels and one bare rim . Casey may not always win but he insures a show for all every time he lines up at the starting gate.
