This Continental Moto· sporu Club event was the same day as the final 125/500cc AMA National MX but Turner put on quite a show by winning all six motos he entered and . . won aU three Professional divisions. This has only been done once in recent times and Turner was the man. In the Open Pros, Maico-mounted Dale Lewis led Turner for two laps in' moto one but Turner put his sighu on Lewis and eventually beat the second place rider by more than 47 seconds. In moto two Turner again pulled out the win but this time Steve Banning (Mai) trailed Turner the entire moto. In moto two, Nilsson held onto second behind Turner and Nilsson's 5-! score gave him second oveI'a1l behind Turner's 1·1. V. Butler (Yam) finished third in moco two and fifth oveI'a1l. Richard Sands (SIIZ) and Harley HaIl (Sm) had to play second fiddle to Turner in both motos of the U5cc Pros. Craig Dale (Sm) handled second place in moto one with HaU third but mechanical problems dropped Dale way down in the standings in moto two.
