Donnie Hansen combined his fluid riding style with his
water-cooled Honda Works bike to win the Bell Helmets 250
National at Carlsbad. About the only thing the rest ofthe field
could do was sweat it out for fourth place.
Because right behind Donnie were teammatesJohnny
O'Mara andjim Gibson for a clean sweep ofthe top three spots.
By the wa~ Honda's men weren't the only ones dusting
the competition last weekend The women did their share of
the work as well.

Hoffman Lancor rode their water-cooled CR125R's
to a1-2-3finish in the women's division.
Which ought to prove one thing. Motorcycle racing isn't a
male-dominated sport. It's a Honda-dominated sport.
