In fact, all other classes were fairly clear runaways for the eventual overall winners. But. in the 250cc Juniors . it wound up as a th ree -way tie for the 20 first -place series po ints. In this class . Richard Mannschreck was awarded th e victory because of his second place finish in th e fin a l moto , relegating Chuck Brenkus to secon d and firs t-mote winner Will Gorski to third. T here might have been an actu a l four-way tie with the overall going to Dave Barr . but he was spotted by officials cutting the course in the first moto and was bumped from fourth to sixth.
