Mike Haynes (Yam ) recovered from some crashes to take fourth ahead of twin Tracy McIntyre (Yam). Maby and Scott were seen having a friendly chat before the second mot o, each telling the other that he was going to win. These two are good friends off the track . but on the track, neither gives an inch. resulting in one of the greatest racing rivalries in the Southwest. Scott led the pack around the first turn in moto two and set a very fast pace. Scott still wears a Lenox Hill knee brace but he seems to be getting the speed back that he lost when he injured his knee. Scott rode flawlessly and built up a 20-second lead by the finish. Maby rode in second the whole race. A little farther back. twins Tracy and Mike McIntyre had a battle over third with Tracy holding it from half way to the finish. The 250cc Amateur race was in teresting . Mini Expert rider. Brother Maninez, borrowed a Honda 250 and won both motos first time out.
