Lewiston, ID with Leon McDonald (Yam) and Ross Learn (Suz) traveling from Spokane to give Andy Tudor (Suz) some competition in the 250cc Pro class. The outcome was neve.r in doubt after the rubberband snapped in the fIrst moto. Tudor took the lead and never looked back " he blasted around the track. Gage, who had never lost at Mabton before, started in ninth and was able to grab third after making a last lap pass of Duane Marker (Suz). Leon McDonald motored to a safe second. Moto two looked like a repeat of the first until Tudor hit a huge hole hidden in the muddy section of the track, sending him over the bars. Gage and Marker fought tooth and nail for second with Duane holding on for all 10 laps. The second moto victory gave McDonald first overall with Tudor second with 1-4 placings. Super Seer goggles were being awarded to first, second, and third place riders in all' Amateur classes and Scott Seyler (Hon) let it be known early that he wanted a pair as he demolished the 250cc B class with perfect rides after passing everyone on the track. Bob Berg (Hon) looked strong until tiring late in the motos giving him second and Gary Siegfried third. An Key (Suz) jumped into the lead of the 125cc Pro class only to ~ foiled by a thrown chain letting Ross Learn (Suz) into a lead which he never gave up. Leon McDonald (Yam) rode hard for second foUowed by Dennis Ostriem (Suz) and Duane Marker (Suz). The second moto developed into a war ~tween Ostriem and McDonald as Dennis tried every trick he knew but couldn't make the pass. Sandy Jaquish (Yam) took third overall. Results MINI JR: 1.
