Sampo took a two for two go over Infeld with Seymour in third, so now it is Sampo and Infeld tied up for first in the points and former co· leader Seymour in third·. In Junior action, the two. big ones were the 250cc two for two ·blast by Rick Grasser who moved from fourth in the 1979 point standings intO a virtual deadlock with Ron Laffranchi, and the tie·breaker second 125cc moto win by Manny Leon over last week's winner Don Seay, Jr., with Mike Monsegur in for a close third. Throughout the day the heat kept pumping up, but that didn't slow down AI Baker's FMF/Yamaha Support rider Johnny. O'Mara, Yamaha·mounted Mark Lawrence, or Cole Bros. Maico rider Mark White from taking home top money in the day's Pro classes. First out of the gate were the Open Pros, and Mark White was hot on his Maico Magnum.
