Lots of action though as both riden had to come from behind to do the job. After being a runner-up many times this year. Suzuki ridel: Kent Musgrave decided Wednesday was the night as he went wire to wire in both motos for an impressive win over a scrambling Chuck Hogan. Scott AndeOcc Junior class and managed to gain first place overall, but he really had to work for it. The guy who made things so difficult was Mike Martinez (Suz). In .the first moto Mike got the best of things, but in the fmal and more important moto, Woods managed to beat him. Woods' 2-1 score meant the victory and the big trophy. Martinez came in with a second place win and managed to edge out other riden, including Mike Jones (Yam), David Kleeman (Yam) and Dave Whatley (Hon). The 12f>cc Pro class was a little short-handed and Ron Turner even took the night off. RickJohnson ham't been racing at OCIR in a while, and returned tonight to firid a small class to race in. Johnson had his finest race in the fint moto when he led the rest of the pack and ended with the first wave of the checkered flag. In the second moto everyone was certain that Todd Petenon was going to take the victory. Then unfortunately Petenon's Suzuki derlliled its chain and he was unable to get it put back on in time. Todd wasn't able to finish the race and Mark Denning (Yam) made the pass and so did Randy Skinner (Suz) and Rick Johnson. The overall money fell into the hands of Rick Johnson for his 1-3 score. Mark Denning just moved up into the Pro ranks a few weeks ago and seems to be competitive, taking a second place cash award. Randy Skinner was third and the next cash wInner.
