last 10 feet as Scott Hamilton and
Keith Finch had a real bar-banger
right to the flag with Hamilton geuing
the tie-breaker second.
Hard to pick the best of the Junion.
with the two Uf>cc divisions the
"biggies:' Yamaha rider Gary
Rodriques went two for two in- the fint
division and Kevin Graves (Suz) did
lik~ in the secol\d division. Lots of
action though as both riden had to
come from behind to do the job. After
being a runner-up many times this
year. Suzuki ridel: Kent Musgrave
decided Wednesday was the night as
he went wire to wire in both motos for
an impressive win over a scrambling
Chuck Hogan.

250 PRO: 1. Kirk Griaom tHonl; 2. Mike St..n ISull;
3. K8wi1ut Aldrich (Honl.
125 PRO: 1. Scott AndeOcc Junior class and managed to
gain first place overall, but he really
had to work for it. The guy who made
things so difficult was Mike Martinez
(Suz). In .the first moto Mike got the
best of things, but in the fmal and
more important moto, Woods
managed to beat him. Woods' 2-1
score meant the victory and the big
trophy. Martinez came in with a
second place win and managed to edge
out other riden, including Mike Jones
(Yam), David Kleeman (Yam) and
Dave Whatley (Hon).
The 12f>cc Pro class was a little
short-handed and Ron Turner even
took the night off. RickJohnson ham't
been racing at OCIR in a while, and
returned tonight to firid a small class to
race in. Johnson had his finest race in
the fint moto when he led the rest of
the pack and ended with the first wave
of the checkered flag. In the second
moto everyone was certain that Todd
Petenon was going to take the victory.
Then unfortunately Petenon's Suzuki
derlliled its chain and he was unable to
get it put back on in time. Todd wasn't
able to finish the race and Mark
Denning (Yam) made the pass and so
did Randy Skinner (Suz) and Rick
Johnson. The overall money fell into
the hands of Rick Johnson for his 1-3
score. Mark Denning just moved up
into the Pro ranks a few weeks ago and
seems to be competitive, taking a
second place cash award. Randy
Skinner was third and the next cash
wInner.
