In the Old T imers race it was Roger San chez (Suz) out in front with John Sudsberry (Yam) in second . Raymond Nelson (OMS) got under Sudsberry in the third lap and put the pressure on Sanchez. Sanchez refused to relent and took it to the wire for the win . Mike Gildersleeve and Larry Young took control of the Veterans race but it was only three laps later when Robert Mars (Mai) got under both of the early leaders and held on to the fin ish . The Pro classes were the exclusive property of Bellevue Suzuki rider Pat Jacobson , Bla ine "C" Elledge earned seco nd overall in the 250cc and O pen Pro while young Phil Ruckman bid for 125cc second overall . N umber one northwest Pro Jim Anderson rode to a super third in 125cc dicing, The 125cc Junior gang did it up good with three heats of a ction to set up for th e main event. Danny Sa ylor (Suz) shot out front in the first round a nd let it rip again in the main , leading gate to flag. Good go in' Dan. Todd Beltz (Su z) won out in the second heat. getting around Scott Costa on lap three, and Tracy Grooms picked up the heat three moto win. Tally time listed overalls with Saylor, Beltz and Costa earning the top three positions. Congratulations to Olympic Yamaha's Pro rider Tom Poage. Tom just showed us his new Yamaha International YZ 400F. Tom will be racing this jewel for Yamaha in the northwest as part of their support program . Chris Carr held the point ever so ea rly but Chandler pulled out all the stops to win the 80cc Expe rt over the number two ranked National scrambler.
