Over 200 trophies were awarded to racers. lots of door prizes were given away and membership voting results for Booster. Sportsmanship and Club awards were announced . Everyone enjoyed dancing to a great live band, the movie, "Follow The Circuit" and a lot of pre·1979 bench racing . After an excellent dinner, season points awards were presented to 66 racers, with number on e honors going to Tim Lindfors. Dennis Byrne. Bill Snyder, Chad Olinger, Phil Culver and Todd Ratliff in TT scrambles and flat track. The Wich ita Dorsey brothers won all of the Expert motocross number one plates with Mike taking the 125cc and 250cc whil e older brother David took the Open , David Kleusch, Melvin Green . Wes Kluckner, Gregg Romine and Steve Ericksen took top Junior motocross honors while high point hare scrambles trophies went to Rick Fogle. Marty Crowley. Mike Clegg. Steve Dix and Steve Coffmen. After lOS trophies had been awarded for the five ch ampionship races held during 1978 , the results of the membership vot ing was announced . Hank Spau lding won th e Booster of the Year award, while th e Salina Coyotes barely edged out the Flint Hills Cycle Club for Club of the Year award . Sportsmanship awards went to Bud Lee in motocross . Steve Dix in hare scrambles , wh ile Dennis Byrne -a nd Ma rk Kumle tied for scrambles honors. .T he season high point trophies had color photos of the winning rider with his name. class and po ints earned engraved in gold .
