he beat out Bill Hamson and took the
lOOcc Novice overall. The 250cc
Novice Division I win went to Scott
O lney with a consistent 2-2 ride .
A full field of 250cc Experts muttured silently as Curt Wilcox ran away
with both motos. Joe Headley led the
first moto almost all the way but the
hard charges of Wilcox paid off as he
passed him up for both wins .
Bob Collins came out to smoke the
Vets class with a I -I while "Doobie"
tried hard but had to settle for second.

In the Ope n Junior class Matt
Hechenburg
encountered
some
problems in the . first moto , with the
referee standing in the way at the
start, so he only pulled out a fourth the
first rnoto . Matt was a little upset and
let the referee know it. The secon d and
final moto turned up no handicap so
Matt won easy and too k 4-1 for the
overall.
- T he Open Expert saw Neal Snarr on
a borrowed Suzuki top Mike Mythen
for the final race of the day.
