IO Endurance roa d races aren' t su p posed to be won or lost by a hai r's b readt h, but when the flag fell to end th e Mountain Road racing Associatio n's first six -ho u r event , the front -runners were so d ose that no official c a ll was m a d e . In fact, nobody was sure who won . The prime contender seemed to be the Yoshima H o nd a 400 four ridde n by Char le y Mc Do n a ld a nd Torn Ma rqu a rdt , the sa me tea m whi ch won last year , The pai r took ad van rag.. of , their horsepower edge to open a co m m a n d in g lead in the r a in slick en ed earl)' laps of the ra ce.
