Prickett (H a n), Bobb y Danielson
(H an) and Ga ry Kuest (Yam) all blew
out in fro nt of Harding (Su z) in the
first 250cc Pro mota. In the second
and third laps , there was a wild
scramb ling of posit ion
before
Danielson flew into the lead with
Hard ing hot on his tail. For the ne xt
se ven laps H ard ing hung on
Danielson 's rear fender just wa iting for
a Danie lson g oo f o r a ch a n ce to
slingshot by somep lace . The chance
n ever c a m e. Dan ielson , Harding ,
Prickett and Ku est was the fin ishing
order.
A spectacular pileup in the first turn
necessitated a res'tart of the second
moto. After a ll th e bikes and riders
were sorted and th e fuzz ies shaken
loose , Prickett won th e second m ot o ,
followed by Da n iel son , Kuest and
Hard ing. Fin a l order t he n wa s
D a ni el son 1· 2 , Pr ick e tt 3 · 1, a nd
Harding 2-4 .
Open As a nd Pros ran tog ether . In
th e first mo to H arding (Su z) got the
holeshot fo llo wed b y Mike Kane
(Y am). Pat Gu nter (Ya m), Ken
Chicke ring ( Yam) a nd Dale Greene
(Bul) . Harding , Kane , Greene and
Don Lentz (Ya m) was th e order 10 laps
later. In the secon d mo to Kane blew
in to the lead and never reli n qu ished it.
Final ord er in the Pr os was Kane 2-1
and Hardin g 1·2 . Lentz .topped the
As, followed by Gr eene and Gunte r.
A 32 ·rider tag tea m event wound up
the day, with T r acy Prickett a nd
Bobby Danielson tea ming up to ride a
quick Honda 250 to the win.
