Lunde took command of the second moto from the drop of th e ga te. H is aggressive exhibition carried him to a clear cut moto victory and the overall win over Blackwell and T arnietti . Anderson was fou rt h most of th e way . except for two laps when Chuck Lunde (H on) went by. Anderson got going again , though, to p ick up fourth. Tim Lunde got on Kelvin Franks' Roo for the l25cc Pros and dominated the first moto as he had done in m oto two of the 250s . After starting in sixth . C h r is Harrold (Suz) cut through the pack to put hi mself in second on lap five and held it to th e finish , Matt Nelson (Su z) va c illated between t hird and fourth spots for the first few laps before finally getting a , strong hold on third. . Alex Downs (Suz), second at the start. had problems which dropped him wa y down in the pack. He worked them out and climbed up to fourth with Rick Johnson (Yam) . also second at one time . sneaking in on the last lap for fifth . Downs came Out of t he first turn dust to find himself in the lead of moto two . Scott Anderson (Esc) got by him on the first lap . though . J oh nson was right behind Down s with Don Fuller (Suz) and Lunde following . Lunde went by Fuller the next lap . When Downs a te it royally after th e ledge. Lunde filled th e third spot with Harrold in fourth. • Anderson dropped back to third on la p five , -Lu nde slowly started to in ch up on Johnson who just berserked it around th e co u rse . When ' J ohnson bobb led on th e u p h ill , Lunde was th er e to take advantage of it and sped off for his fou rt h win of th e d a y a nd much of th e $ 1000 Pro p urse . , Harrold got by Anders on for third a few laps Irom th e en d . As usual , the whole gang showed up and had a good tim e on and off th e track . T h is week , it was Ray Sanchez who topped th e Amateur class with two straight moto wins. Sanchez pulled the first moto hol eshot , and then all of the rest of the pack gen erously fell down in a huge first turn pile -up. Th is, underst andably. ga ve Sanch ez on e of those fantastic leads that most of us j ust d ream a bout. Dick Doyle (Mai) was lucky en ough to get a start that was so bad he avoided the m ound of bodies and m a ch in es a n d gra b bed second place. It was n't lon g , however . . before th ey were a ll up a nd back in th e ra ce. Joe Bray (Ma i) and T om Br own (Yam) went to work a nd soo n th ey were reel ing in th e lea ders. On lap three Bray m oved into seco nd p lace and on e lap lat er Br own sna red third . T he parad e rem ain ed in th at orde r until th e very last lap wh en Brown dis pl aced Br ay for seco nd .
