The main area designed to raise the competitiveness of the loop was unfortunately destroyed prior to the race . The promoter had included a 'very nice sandwash that led from Freemont Valley up the canyon with lots of washouts to contend with but Cal City threw in a curve by grading the wash into a gravel freeway before race time. Hope all of you had your "E" coupon ready for Matterhorn Hill . Three loops and almost impossible to get lost on this course, it was so well marked. Some minor problems plagued the promoter days before the race, but it was completed without any serious problems. Mike Merriman and Lyn _Mallory did great jobs in bringing us this much needed family enduro. , The next ERA event is May 28 at Ca l City. We' II hope to see all of you there who are supporters of amily enduro events and all of you who couldn't make the first successful one. Results pending.
