They didn't h~ve a , :'rainou t"'Ou t th ey sure had a "m ud oin : ' The hillside was in super shape r bu t the infield section became a 'ga me of slip and slide with freshly ·la id cla y, The mud played no favorites , taking Pros out right along with Beginners, I:' Racing directors and flagmen also got a taste of Corona terra firma as th ey scrambled around pulling out grounded riders and on several occasions , th emselves, Janet Grisham of Arlington was the only representative from her school to 'com pete and she rode for two wins l over Yvette Lyle and Lisa Mazzacane of North in the Women's Division , o The rest of the night was totally North dominated. Randy Buckner of North got things started as he led the Mini Division and came up with two " firsts . Marc Madore of North took a secondIn the first moto but ran into trouble the second and lost out to , I Kevin Cashen of Montclair and Toby ~ Maynard of North . . A dry spell in the win column followed for North but they picked up a lot of points for seconds, thirds and fourths until the 175cc Novices . David J Foley of North went for it in a battle with teammate Wade Hodge. Wade has been the dominant figure in this class but Foley changed things around , getting out on top in the first moto and staying there with Hodge in the second slot right behind him . In the second moto it was Hodge out on top with Foley running second. It took Foley two laps before he made his move and from there on out it was clear sailing for him. Glen Martin from Rim of th e World picked up third with a 3-3. Dennis Woodridge of North picked up th e final win of th e night for North as he went two for two in the Open Novice class over Alan Widrick of Montclair. Larry Roeseler showed everybody he is just as at home in the mud as he is in the desert sand. R oeseler took advantage of everyone elses' falls and mistakes in the first moto and worked his way from third off the line 'behind Jeff Hollie and David Rose to first by the th ird lap. From th ere on out it was Roeseler and Doug Lincoln the only two to make all five laps. The 'seco nd moto saw everyone tuned in much better as Ro eseler got off on top with Hollie in second and Robert Gray th ird. Rose was sitting in the fifth position behind Lincoln but was on the move. On lap two he was in fourth where he stayed until the fourth lap when both he and Lincoln got by Hollie and with the white flag out , Robert Gray had his hands full trying not to become the next vict im . He was able to do it and at the flag it was Roeseler , Gray and Rose with second overall going to Rose. Lincoln took third . ' It was a three-way battle for the 250cc Pros as Don Snyder, Mark Rawley and Matt Tedder locked horns. Off the line the first moto it was Tedder with Sriyder second and Rawley, having trouble with the mud and compression , third. Snyder came back to take the first by the end of th e first lap and, with Tedder really putting on the pressure, Snyder was able to hold him off to the checkered. The second moto had GSM rider Rawley with everything together. He was out on top and stayed there with 'Snyder second and Tedder third until the ' white flag when troubles took Tedder out. Snyder collected the overall win in spite of Rawley's second moto win . Rawley did come up with second and Tedder rounded out the field with third.
