At 8 :00 a.m. the banner for the
An telope Valley Ramblers race
dropped. The dus t hung in th e air
as the 250 Amateur/Experts left
the line. As they came around on the
firs t loop , Larry Roeseler (Hus) had a
de fini te lead , but flyi ng ahead of th e
co mpetition on the seco nd and third
loop, Roeseler was closely chased by a
determined Bruce Ogilivie (H-D) and
Brent Wallingsford on h is new Husky.
Bob Rutten (Hus) was running farther
back in the pack than usual due to a
series
of
mishaps,
including
a
nerve-rattling cr ash.
