It was a bad day for 500 Pro riders Dave Haugh (Mai) and Jim Jackson (Hus). H:rugh took the early lead but with one lap to go they crashed and both bikes caught fire . Boy what a blaze! That left the field open for Steve Marusk (Mai) to take the overall victory. In the 25 ,0 Pro class it was all Eddie Cole (Bul). who' took the lead in both motos and kept it for the overall victory.
