In the first moto it was Magoo all th e way, fly ing high and lon g off the big jump on his KTM. T he track was in super shape, thanks to a prior rain. Don Cantaloupi (C-A) and Jeff Watts (Hus) had a little race of their own going in the early lap s fo r third. Cantaloupi finally pulled ahead and held it. The second moto got off to a spe ctacular start with Magoo , Watts and Lesn iewski side by side and jamming. All. three went over the jump together, causing audible moans from the spectators who knew that they would all hit the ground together, and may be in the same spot! They made the landing three abreast, and then Lesn iewski and Magoo sprinted ahead of Watts, Magoo with a slight lead. Lesniewski got off Magoo's tail when he went into the trees and crashed. With Magoo now way out front again the race interest switched to Watts, Mike Preston (Nog) and AI Hall (Hon) who were dicing for second.
