Gaylon Mosier went home the 500 Pro winner, as well as second 250 Pro. Getting the jump with a full bike 's length behind the gate , Marty Smith and teammate Tommy Croft pulled off a tremendous holeshot over the other 125s. Croft couldn't keep up with Smith 's furious pace and settled down into second. Behind the pair of red bikes came Dave Carlson (Franda), Dennis Curtis (Hon) and John Tessitore (Hon ). Curtis faded back after Tessitore passed him on the first lap, allowing Tessitore the whole moto to try and cat ch Carlson. Carlson held his spot, claiming the win at the end of the moto. Smith and Croft were allowed to ride the sec o n d moto , and the pair continued their furious pace, leading out again in Style - David Emde on the way to his fourth 1?I fifth (?) whateve r, straight GP win at Fast Track Intern at ional. the fm al moto. Croft d idn 't last long as his bike broke again, after a seizure in th e first mota. Carlson again took up Croft's spot, bu t couldn't keep up with Smith, falling back nearly a full uphill and downhill's distance . Carlson collected up top cash with his 1-2 score, while Smith ended up seventh overall. Mike Bell didn't have much trouble in topping the 250 Pros with the exception of Croft, who put a lot of pressure on CMC's former number one until Croft's shocks went out. Gaylon Mos ier (Mai) got off to a las t place start and moved through the pack with the best of his experience to finally end the moto in third. Dave Carlson (Mai) stayed consisten t and finished in second. Mosier co n ti nued his pursuit of top spot in the final mota. At the midway mark, he had already caugh t and passed Bell, but it was only good enough for second overall. Carlson took third behind Bell and the Wheelsmith man. Mosier continued his winning ways in the 500 Pro class as he swep t both moto wins after due1in' for top spot with Jon Derhammer (Mai). The Whee1smith pair diced early in both motos, but Mosier soon pulled away with a large lead. Val Tamietti rode smoothly and consistently to a 3-3 score for third overall.
