Don't just go racing thB winter Go for Greatness national . oton:ycle league sanctioned m ProAm National Championship Russe l Rigby got radical on h is way to a second in the 125 Junior Division I clash. pulled the 100 J unior pack off the line in both motos, but the Tustin High racer couldn 't hold back the Ho nda of Russ Edie (Remember Ladell Eide in Saturday 's racing?) for too long as the Gain fast cat got by both motos to imitate his brother's streak with a one-one sweep leaving Barr to second. The final outcome of the 125 Junior final wasn't even announced until almost everyone in the park had taken off. This was due to a protest on Pat Delligatta for using a different bike in the last moto of his race and the final. Seems no one had a rule book handy so some o ne had to drive home and get one. By the time they got a set of rules it was late, but the parties involved, Pat, Mike Loper, and Gary Tiuesoill stuck around to see the outcome. Well, Pat won out as there didn't seem to be anything in the rules to disallow the use of two bikes. Loper could've sure used another bike in the final as his third gear lu nched itself. Anyway Delligatta (El Rancho) won, Loper really earned seco nd after holding off Delliga tta for m uch of the final with no third gear. Santiago High had a pretty good day with the Expert races as they swept both the 125 and 500 divisions with Alan Smith and Randy Blevins sharing the honors. FMF'er Alan Smith had the 125 Expert class for lunch as he flat ran Motocross Series - _ _ _ _ _ _ _ For mo re Informatlon Na tional Motorcy cl e Leagu e 11 79 S.W. 1st Way Deerfield Bch. • Aa. 3344 1 (305) 421 -3278 _ Verlon Moo re 470 N.E. 30th St. Pompano Bch. , Aa. 33064 (305) 782·7343 or MAICO GaUl Star SHOCKS GO LD STAR 15% INCH O IL SHOCKS. Toyama gets his homework from Carson High. Another Gregg, this one Gregg Young from Edison, pulled third Expert on his Honda. Toyama really had a busy day as the rascal was running two clas ses, 125 and 100 Expert. Gregg took the 100 class with no problem. Pacific High flash, Garry Faulks pushed his Maico to firsts in both motos of the 250 Expert, which was combined with the Open Experts. By the way Garry beat all the 500s. The hot-doggers of Santiago High, Randy Blevins, hustled his 400 CZ to the Open Expert win with a couple of firsts. The McKee's Cycle quickie had to come " from way back in the second moto to move up into first and he did it in fine style. Want to kn ow who to ok home the big trophy?
