While MacMurray was on his way fo r his fourth Scratch Main win her e , Steve Bast ran WFO for the four laps to fmish n umber two with the last two places going to Dale Stetler an d Geo rge Carter. Pro vin g that ni ce guys don 't always finish last , J ay DeBe aubien led start to finis h to win th e Handicap Main ahead o f Dennis Robinson and Mike Faria.
