AUG . 20 As the end of summer approaches and the nigh ts ge l colder and co lder the AMC MX action is just starting to heat up . The Open Pros saw Mark Rodman (Kaw) take home the overall win with David Gerig (Hus) in second and Steve Dah lstron (CZ) in third. The ac tio n went lik e this. In th e first mota Rodman was out of the ga te lik e a shot wit h Dahlstron and Geri g not far behind. Going into th e third lap Dahlstron took over the lead with Rodman and Gerig fighting it out for second. As all three men too k the whi te nag Rodman made his move and shot · by Gerig and Dahlstron for the win. The second mota saw Gerig and Rodman get out of the gate at the same time with Dahlstron in hot persuit. As the three riders were going into the fourth lap Dahlstron passed Gerig and Rodman for the lead but he did not have it for long as his motor went south . At this point Rod m an took over the lead and the win. Third round action saw Gerig take the hole shot followed by Rodman. The racing was very close with Gerig taking th e eventual win . Bro c Glover (DG) had to battle Paul Schornes (Ha n ) and l\like Johnson (Yam ) for the 125 Pro win . In the first two motos it was Glover and Schones o u t of th e gate at th e sam e tim e and it was Glover who came o ut on top , But in the last race two o ther riders came into th e pi cture, Kim Blaekseth (Yam) and Johnson. Kim came out of the gate hard and had the lead for m ost o f the race • until his motor le t go. \\ b en th at happened Johnson took ove r th e le ad with Glover and Sch ones right behind. All of a sudden J o hnson 's motor stopped and Schones and Glover passed him. Now it was a two man race. both riders going all out.
