Andre Plouffe won his private war with Trap 16 (a particularly nasty jumble of big boulders) by clean ing it on the final round, nailing down first Expert in the ' process. Vic Conaway rode his finely detailed Montesa in a slow. picky Engli sh style for second. Quite a co n tr as t to the slap-dash of the younger breed of SoCal tri alers.
