If he ge ts any m or e , he will become a 125 Ju nio r an d he doesn't wa n t that to hap pen un til after the Co w Palace. Ch ris Paulson on the other hand, wo uld like to gather enough points to close the gap so that he might have a chance at the Cow Palace brass. Chris did as well as he could in tonight's 100 Novice main with a very good win over Mamola and Team Cancilla's Hodaka. It will be an interesting race at the Cow Palace. Jerry Kale doesn 't really need any pain ts unless he 's after a White Plate, which he alr eady has. Jerry keeps winning the 360 Expert class and will have no trouble winning th e overall Cow Pala ce championship if he can in terru p t his Pro schedule for that eve nt. Gary Cooper and Ke n Pesc hel aren 't too worried about the 22 points that Pat Rose has in the 360 J un ior class, It see ms that Pat was collecting points in n u m er ous classes and then wound u p as an Expert. Cooper has been trying to get his act togethe r an d stay off th e ground so that he too ca n be in th e hun t, along with the hard charging Peschel. Jim Mertens sits with a one point advantage in the 125 Novice class over Eric Weissler and while Weissler has gone on to the Junior class, :\lertens was unable to capitalize on the ra ce tonigh t.
