Rounding out the Junior flings was Bart Taylor's rough, three-round stunner in the 500's. He claimed consistency without a single mota win and pulled in out with a third and two seconds. First mota winner Danny Ferreira (Mai) had bad second and third races and finished fifth. Second moto acer Bob Hewitt (Mai) had a miserable start in the first race and it would two that cost him. Fourth went to Larry Scott (Suz) with a 5-4-3 performance. Little David Taylor banged up his front wheel in the mid 125 Intermediate round and appeared to be out of the running. Then a friend whose machine blew earlier, offered his front wheel and David went out, won the final mota and claimed the overall.
