Best race at today's CRC Saddleback motocross was the 250 Expert competiton, where David Lanunius (Honda), nipped Mike Tucker (CZ). In fact, it was all even at 700-a11 going into the final mota between the twosome, with Launius winning the final mota and the overall victory. Bob Maxwell (Penton), really zapped the 0-175 Expert class, winning with a grand-slam victory. In the red-hot Intermediate races, there were two events settled on the final mota. First, Craig Adams (Husky), and Rick Bjorn (CZ) were even at 700-all in the Open Intermediate class, with Adams a winner on the final mota. Then came the 250 Intermediate race, where Charlie Richardson. (Yamaha), and Brad Lynch (CZ), also en tered the final mota even at 700-all. In this case, it was Richardson reaching the checkered flag first on the final moto. And Greg Lersch, moun ted on a Penton, fairly well had everything his way at 0-175 Intermediate, winning by a substantial margin. Winners in the Novice classes included Cole Hastings (Husky), Open Novice; Russ Balzer (Honda), 250 Novice, Division 1; Dennis Grace (Honda), 250 Novice, Division 2; Clark Jones (Honda), 125 Novice; Mark Ruelas (Suzuki), 125 Novice, under 16; and Lee Eide (Steen), 100 Novice. Minibike winners included Joe RiveUo (Honda), 80cc Minibike; and Tony Barbacovi (Yamaha), 60cc Mirubike. Adding just a bit of sex to spike up this thing, Sandi Brown (Hodaka) ruled the 100 Powder Puff class; and "Mighty Madelene" Almeida (Yamaha), flew past the field at 125 Powder Puff. Lastly Shay Huffman (CZ), was the number one Veteran competitor. - Number CLUB ~AMA MAKE OF MOTOR, I WILL ENTER THE: ENGINE EXPERT 0 AMATEUR * EXPIRES * 0 CU .CM • 0 NOVICE _ _ CLASS THE UNDERSIGNED ENTRANT BY AFFIXING HIS INITIALS BELOW, ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HE ASSUMES THE RISK OF ANY LOSS FROM INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE TO HIMSELF OR TO OTHERS.
