quite a change In the pay-off too, causing
no little stir amongst the riders. From
the first round of quallfylng heats the
first six transferred to the two second
quallfYlng beats with six from each of
these going to the main. The Amateurs
& Experts transferred 8 from the 1st
heat. The pay-off now 15 tbatyougetpaid
for the heats as well as the main, but

Go Full Bore Into Asc t Pond, AMA
money Is paid back only to the first four
In the maln. There were other difficulties
for the clay, fans arriving on bikes found
they would bave to pay 75~ to parkin the
bike parking area, some riding away very
Irate; too much water was dumped on the
track at intermission and the trophy dash
riders had to hang around untillt dried UP
a bit and the popular Sidebacks weren't
on hand as there Is discusslon on their
sanctions for running at Ascot.
Riders were haPpy to be back on the
old track again with the Novices leading
off the program with four quallfYlng
heats, six transferring to the two secood
heats and then again to the main. In the
second heat a Bul and a Yamaha went
swimming and we really mean swimming.
