early there—we were both mov-
ing through the pack pretty well,
and he got away a little quicker
than me after a few laps. But
overall, it's a good day. A good,
solid day."
Tomac and Roczen will both
wear the red plates next Satur-
day in Florida. Teammates An-
derson and Osborne are tied for
third place in points, 32 behind
the lead duo.
250MX
In the 250MX class, much of
the talk in the two weeks since
the Colorado National surround-
ed how upset Justin Cooper
(Monster Energy/Yamalube/
Star Racing Yamaha) was after
that race, feeling as if the win
had been taken away from him.
He said he was going to use it to
fuel the fire from that point on,
and it looked like that might be
the case early on at High Point,
as he got the holeshot in the
passing the AMA Supercross
champ just a couple of laps later
for second. Webb hung on for
third in front of Osborne, who
made a late-race pass on his
teammate for fourth. Anderson
was fifth, Savatgy sixth, and then
came Musquin, who fought his
way up to seventh at the finish.
Behind him came Bogle and
Bloss, but Baggett ended up
15th after a big crash earlier in
the race while running eighth.
Tomac took the overall win
with a 3-2 score, while Roc-
zen's 6-1 landed him in second
overall and Anderson's 2-5 gave
him third on the day. Webb was
fourth overall with a 7-3, in front
of Osborne's 5-4, Musquin's 4-7
and Baggett's 1-15.
"I knew where Blake [Baggett]
was, position-wise," Tomac said.
"He obviously got that win there,
so I had to make up some points
on him there. But Kenny was
on it. He made the pass on me
him out. It's nothing bad, just
racing. The track was tough to
pass, and [Hunter] Lawrence
was out front, so I tried to fig-
ure out how to pass and lose
as little time as possible. I don't
really know—I'll have to watch
on TV what exactly happened
there—but it's racing." Ferran-
dis ended up third in the moto,
while Cooper—who led early—
ended up sixth.
125 ALL STAR
Pennsylvania's own Chase
Yentzer was the big winner
in the 125 All-Star race. The
16-year-old, aboard a KTM 125
SX, beat a gate full of 125cc
two-stroke racers. Fellow
Pennsylvanian MacCoy Shine
(Husqvarna) was second,
followed by Luke Vonlnger
(Husqvarna), Trevor Schmidt
(KTM) and Justin Cokinos
(KTM).
Briefly...
Australia's Hunter Lawrence won
the first 250MX moto. It was his
first moto win in the U.S.
