We rode Yamaha's newest and biggest cruiser—the 1600cc Road Star,
which sold for $10,499. A photo of the bike in action from Yamaha press
intro in Napa, California, was pictured on the cover, as was the Voxan
1000 Roadster that we tested… Arenacross was in full swing and the
latest round was held at the Jacksonville Coliseum in Florida, where
Jeromy Buehl came away with the dual wins… We covered the Baja
1000 won by Honda teammates Johnny Campbell and Jimmy Lewis…
Lance Smail won the Nasty Wench World Championship Hare Scrambles
in Kent, Washington… Bob White was the overall winner at the NETRA
Broken Peg Enduro in Connecticut… Allen Gravitt claimed the victory at
the Dog Daze Hare Scrambles in Tennessee… Greg Schnell and Casey
Lytle were the top riders at the On Trac Promotions Power Cross event at
the Cow Palace in Daly City, California.
