overall at Hangtown on a bike that
he only rode a couple of times prior
to the race.
ALLDREDGE GOES
TWO-STROKE
Former Monster Energy/Pro Circuit
Kawasaki recruit Chris Alldredge
was all but retired from racing
after three years of terrible luck in
supercross, which culminated in a
big crash in 2017 while racing for the
Barn Pros Yamaha team. After that
injury, he swore off supercross, but
said he'd likely still come back and
race some motocross. He did ex-
actly that at Hangtown. He showed
up with a KTM 250 SX two-stroke,
qualified for the 450SX class, and
finished just two spots outside the
points in the first moto. He DNF
moto two, but he was a fan favorite
on the premix-pumping machine.
ROCZEN RETURNS
Ken Roczen kept his expectations
modest at Hangtown, knowing
he is just returning from a second
hand injury—this time to his throttle
hand—and was going to have to
race himself into shape. "I knew this
weekend was going to be kind of
crazy," Roczen said after going 6-16
for 11th overall. "We haven't had a lot
of time to prepare for the race, but
I wanted to start the season off. We
