iii My Own Race:
816 ENZO LOPES 15TH (13-15) 250MX
Another rookie making his pro debut at Hangtown was Enzo Lopes on the Auto-
Trader/JGR Suzuki team. "My first national was a really cool experience," Lopes
said. "The way I look at is that we still have plenty of motos to go. I rode pretty tight in
the first timed practice, because of nerves. I felt better in the second timed practice
and ended up 11th fastest, which was pretty good. I had a decent start in the first
moto and battled with some established riders. That moto I ended up 13th, which
was good. I had a better start in the second moto and was running in 11th place, but
I crashed and fell back to 17th. That crash slowed me up, and I was only able to get
back to 15th place. I am happy to get my first national out of the way, and I can't wait
for Glen Helen!"
Diego Supercross.
Tomac took the overall with a
1-1 over Musquin's 2-2 and Bar-
cia's 3-3, and Tomac leads the
points by six as the series heads
to Glen Helen this Saturday.
"I just was feeling actually
better that moto," Tomac said of
Benny Bloss, Anderson, Peick,
Craig, Nicoletti and the rest of
the field.
Roczen faded to 16th at the
finish and looked very uncom-
fortable, having only recently
gotten back on the bike after
breaking his hand at the San
the fall. He went around Barcia
for third a couple of laps after
the fall, then went by Anderson
and Musquin on the same lap
to take the lead. He led the rest
of the race to take a seemingly
easy victory over Musquin, Bar-
cia, Baggett and his teammate
Marvin Musquin
couldn't hold on
to his leads and
had to settle for
two second-place
finishes.
